Down by the seaside, the puppets are playing,
But Punch has forgotten what Judy is praying:
A birthday surprise! And he's filled with dismay,
With only an hour to save her big day.

He thinks on his feet: "A fine Sausage Surprise!
That's surely a gift that will open her eyes!"
But oh no! Disaster! The pantry is bare,
There isn't a single sausage in there!

So don't dilly-dally, or frolic, or frisk!
